Bringing the right people together.
Here to Help connects people, expertise and meaningful initiatives. Our aim is to make technology useful for smaller organisations working on social and human causes.
For what matters.Meaningful initiatives.
The right support.
The motivation for Here to Help comes from personal encounters with people building social initiatives and wanting to make the world a little better. Technology is everywhere. Yet the knowledge to use it well and access to professional support are often missing — especially when budgets are small.
On the other side are skilled professionals who have gained years of experience at service providers and large companies. Some find little room to shape things in their daily work. They want to use their knowledge, make a difference and see who their work actually helps.
Here to Help aims to bring these two worlds together. People working on social causes gain help to get started that would otherwise be hard to access. Professionals can contribute their skills meaningfully, keep learning and gain new perspectives through different lived experiences. Together, we look for solutions that are actually needed — pragmatic, simple and good.
Another motivation is concern about technology being used for scams, manipulative apps and exploitative business models. We want to help people recognise these risks and use technology on their own terms. Our projects aim to show how digital possibilities can be used fairly and responsibly.
We pursue our own projects and invite interested people to contribute their skills and experience. We also offer commissioned services: rapid prototyping, AI consulting, architecture and concept reviews, development, feasibility assessments, optimisation and security testing.

Redundant communications between Switzerland and the children’s hospital in Bethlehem became a long-term motivation for Here to Help. A small project showed the value of focused technical support for a human cause.

And open questions.
Here to Help is exploring setting up an association with a public-benefit purpose. The legal structure and tax treatment of revenue and grants are still being clarified.
Commissioned work, sponsors and grants are intended to fund market-based remuneration for project work and operations. Surpluses remain with the association and can support social initiatives and projects in their early stages. The board allocates funds within the budget and any applicable restrictions.
We share what is settled and explain what is still open. Trust grows from clear expectations.
